Scaling Logs is the Beginning of the Process of Efficiently Utilizing Each and Every Log After logs are rolled out, the Scaler then measures the small-end diameter and the length of the log so he can determine the log grade and the volume of useable wood in the log. The entire load is then assigned to a log deck and recorded in our log management system.Our efficient computerized log management system provides information that gives us superior control of the log inventory and helps us to maintain that quality throughout the whole lumber manufacturing process.
